CAPTAIN’S LOG | July 10 | Greetings. Left the protected waters of the Sea of Abaco at dawn though the south Little Harbor reef and have enjoyed a beautiful day of broad reaching in 12-15 knots from the east and averaging 7 knots over the ground. Passed the Berry Islands to the south late afternoon and now approaching the Bahama Bank as the sun sets before us, chicken on the grill. Plan is to anchor on the Bank for some much needed rest and enjoy the Bank tomorrow to Cat Cay or Bimini before crossing the Stream early Sunday to Biscayne Bay. All is well.Greetings. CAPTAIN’S LOG | July 12 | Just entered Biscayne Bay and threw anchor for lunch and a swim. Perfect weather for Sail On’s two-week/800-plus nautical mile journey. All souls accounted for. It has been a wonderful inaugural sail.
